When I took a trip along the cost line this summer I found a red small lighthouse, which was in order to light just a small bay though. It was reminded me of your lighthouse many times.
At one point in ancient history, I would post a Silent Sunday blog. This fits. Some do Wordless Wednesdays, which seems to be the much more popular meme.
The water looks a bit bumpy! Many years ago we had a sailboat. I liked it when the water was calm, but I'm not a happy rough water sailor! Which is the whole point of sailing.... it has to be windy to get the boat moving. Oh well.....
Beautiful pictures Marie! I went out in a sailboat in the Charlottetown harbor on board the sailboat the doctor I worked for owned. It was a beautiful day, no whitecaps, and he even let me steer the boat for a while. It was a calm day, but on the water, it was windy still. An amazing experience. Your pictures today brought back those memories!

ReplyDeleteAfter all week, the silent Sunday is my favourite, AC.

ReplyDeleteIt was rough that day but the sailor was undeterred, Shammi.
DeletePlease tell us what is the small figure sailing up, behind the boat.
ReplyDeleteI have looked at my photos and those my husband took as well, Joanne and we cannot identify it. The breakwater hides it too well.
DeleteEloquent photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Celia.
Deletebeautiful, no words are necessary!!!
ReplyDeleteExactly, Debbie!
DeleteBeautiful sequence of photos. The water looks choppy out there. I do like the lighthouse, it's nice seeing them.
ReplyDeleteIt was choppy but the sailor didn't mind! They were braver than I, Bill!
DeleteHow very beautiful (despite the choppiness).
ReplyDeleteThe small sailboats on the harbour are a peaceful scene, EC.
DeleteYes! What a lot of fun this was. :-)
ReplyDeleteI would think so, Jan.
DeleteNice - I remember sailing on waters like this being surprisingly noisy.
ReplyDeleteCheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
It looks peaceful but with the wind that day, it must have been noisy, Stewart.

ReplyDeleteHappy to stir up such a great memory, Marilyn!
DeleteIt's true Marie! No words needed, that fabulous old lighthouse says it all for me ☺
ReplyDeleteIt does, PDP.
DeleteWhat a wonderful day for some lucky sailor.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like fun, doesn't it, Barbara?
