They were excited the way four and six year olds are when doing something they enjoy. My husband and I were headed to the park with our granddaughters for the first time this year. The girls love to make cracker sandwiches with peanut butter for their snack at the picnic table. They use as much peanut butter as crackers and giggle as they are made. Grapes and juice go with us too. We were ready.
The red wagon is part of the experience. Sylvie has long legs now, but she sat in the front of wagon and her sister sat behind her. They chatted non stop all the way to the park and played "eye spy" which Caitlin hasn't mastered yet but loves to play anyway.
The park had been cleaned of the millions of leaves from last autumn. We were the only ones there for much of the time and the girls made the rounds. They love the teeter totter but it would be hard to pick a favourite.
A year brings a lot of growth in the life of a young child.

Oh my, what a difference a year makes. They grow so quickly and so good you take photos, always difficult to remember how they change so. Looked like a grand time was had by all :)
Beautiful little girls! That's what the world needs...more children to bring us all joy! Andrea
Such beautiful treasures, those girls. And they are lucky to have you in their lives, too! Thanks for the year-apart pictures. It is a LOT of growth in one year. :-)
How they grow!
Great shots. Love peanut butter crackers. Love those trees, too.
What a clever idea to bury tires as shock absorbers for the teeter-totter! I've never seen that before.
A year makes a big difference in the kiddies.
I have never seen a see-saw (I like that old name) like that.

My youngest granddaughter looks all grown up now in one year. :)
Wonderful day out, such sweethearts. My life would be so much smaller without my grandkids. :-)
It looks like a wonderful, wonderful day. For you all.
We always enjoy those visits to the park, Ann.
They are growing so quickly, Andrea.
Their legs have stretched I think, Jan.

The trees in that park are beautiful, HW.
It is a great idea indeed, Debra.
When I use the term see-saw, the girls look puzzled, AC.
Children grow up so fast. It's great to be outdoors and enjoying all the fun they bring. Great photos!
It keeps us young to spend time with them, Debbie.
A year makes such a difference in a child's life, Mage.
I agree, Celia. Knowing what it is to have them, I can't imagine life without them.
It was the best, EC.
The girls love to play outdoors and so do we, Bill.
Children bring much joy to grandparents! You have lovely granddaughters! We are still praying for the Lord to send us a grandchild someday. That's a beautiful park to take them out to play. They sure have grown a lot since last year!! It's amazing!
