Fresh Air

Last week was warmer, so my husband and I managed to walk the boardwalk more than we had the two previous weeks. Skies were overcast most days as you will see. However, the scenes before us made me stop to capture the moments and each day presented something new if one took the time to stop and look.

One day, the sun was barely covered by the lowest layer of a thick cloud. Along the horizon stretched a band of blue and a hint of twilight in the mid morning though a shielded sun was obvious.

Sometimes, clouds can stand in sharp contrast to the vast ice-covered sea especially when they appear to be blue. Again mid morning resembles twilight.

Another twilight morning, a band of blue cloud made a horizontal line across the sky in Bedeque Bay. It added a new element to the scene from the bridge over the salt marsh.

Snow overnight gave another layer of softness to the shoreline one day as the sky blue attempted to push up the cloudy blind.

Our breath of fresh air on so many levels! Hope you find yours!

Marie,
Your steps trace poems along the shore,
Where clouds and sea in silence pour.
Soft blues, pale light, and winter’s sigh
Turn morning into lullaby.
Through every walk, such gentle art,
A breath of hope for mind and heart.
John 😊

I'm happy for you that it was warmer. We await still, but we should get a rise this week. Your sea and sky horizons look good.

The first one is a Wall Hanger !!
The bands of color are amazing and the twilight at mid morning is so lovely.

The clouds were magical in your photos, Marie, and newly fallen snow is beautiful, at first, when undisturbed.

That first photo is magical. Well, all of them are, a serene mystery to them.

Dear Marie, I know I am in the minority, but I do love Winter and snow! I find it a great time to relax, to ponder, to slow down, and this is a good thing! Your photos are absolutely stunning and captivating!

I was watching the TV program Alone which had the contestants trying to survive in the Artic Circle. It made me think of your photos of the snow and sky. Living here in the South, I don't know how yall do it. The man that won was from Labrador.

Hello Marie
The winter scenery does look lovely, beautiful collection of photos. We have not been able to get out for walks, the trails here are still covered with ice/snow. Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.

Those photos are beautiful. I don't always like snow pictures (because I don't like snow), but yours are always beautiful.

Marie your 'breath of fresh air' has become my mine, through these wondrous, winter scenes. Having walked the trail with you in spring and autumn, I find it difficult to comphrehend that the bay freezes for so long and that daily sunshine is not a given.

I love these words, John.

I am glad that you were able to get out and walk, Marie. Fresh air, wildlife and exercise are much better than being cooped up at home. I am sure it was good therapy to be outside.

Would be wonderful to see such things. We have another hot day here today - and with luck it may be the last of the summer. But in Melbourne you can never tell!
Hope all is well. Stewart M - Melbourne

Very pretty skies. Kind of magical seeing whiteness top and bottom with a band of blue in the middle!
