We had a terrible storm last week which covered much of eastern North America over several days. Afterwards, it took our city three days to clear a path on the boardwalk so we missed some time outdoors. However, when we did walk there, the setting did not disappoint. Our first day back, the clouds winked at us.
Bands of blue cloud in an overcast sky have come to signal that bad weather is on the horizon. The day before the storm, the sky foretold what was to come. Watching the sky is a winter pass time now.
One day, two crows in conversation in an old tree, made me stop and listen. They were happy to have walkers back on the boardwalk for some easy snacks.
Three kites took boarders along the bay in the breeze that day.
Finally, this past week, we saw one of the neighbourhood foxes as it hunted one morning, crossing through the back yard. It stopped briefly under our oak tree before heading out as I photographed it through the kitchen window.
In a world which is more dangerous by the day, I wish you some peace of mind in your life this week.

Hello Marie,
I love the first scene and sky photo. The kite boarders look like they are having fun. Love the ducks and the cute fox. Beautiful winter photos. Take care, enjoy your day and happy 1st week of March.
Thank you, and wishing peace of mind and life to you too.
I hope those kiters were well wrapped up. Chilly to land on that ice.
Those kite boarders have to be in excellent physical condition, it looks like they use every muscle in their bodies.
Clouds are so interesting and very telling. I love watching them and that you found a cloud winking at you!
Kiters must be so fun to watch & photograph. Have a wonderful first week of March.
Kite-boarding looks so exciting! I'd never try it, of course.
I love listening to crows converse. They make such an interesting variety of sounds. That storm was a doozy! What a winter you've had! And here, on our island, we've had one of the mildest winters ever. Enjoy your week!
