Gray

It was a gray November day at the beach, with a breeze off the water. We could see the geese further down the beach as we ate lunch and enjoyed the quiet of the area and the view. Nearby, a young gull had his lunch too, occasionally dipping his head below the surface as he floated around Seven Mile Bay, Prince Edward Island.

It was a picture perfect gray!

  4. I'm wearing gray right now...ha! I think it is a good color for my age (59). I actually love gray days...esp. if they are windy. Your young gull sitting there all alone leaves time for thought! Andrea

  6. I have a difficult time with photos with no color. There is a culture that believes much true photographic art is captured with minimal color. Not sure that I agree with that, but it certainly is a skill I have not mastered.

  7. I like the monochrome sometimes, Tabor. Usually, the more colour the better in my book though!

I love the beach, and I enjoy your descriptive words here. Makes me want to get my toes in the sand. Lovely photo....

Great photo Marie - lots of roughness and texture in it - in a really good way:)
