Everyone was bundled in winter jackets, hats and mitts. However the ride to the park was pleasant as we pulled the girls in the wagon and joined in the conversation.
They enjoy each other's company, and with few exceptions, get along well.
The crunch of the leaves under foot makes for an interesting walk around the park now,
as many of the trees have given up the majority of their colour. The same spaces,
a mere four weeks ago, looked different against the green background.
Now, the equipment is too cold for little bodies.
The girls ran around for a short time, had their snack and we headed home.
It was good to get some fresh air even if it was a cold day. Hot cocoa provided a warm welcome at home. These are precious days!

So adorable. They are just the cutest little tykes. Thanks for sharing this outing with me. :-)
I seem to remember that kicking up the leaves was a very attractive pastime when I was that age - though it was rather a long time ago!
How sweet! It's a lovely setting for a playground.
A lovely outing. Good they tried a piece of equipment and experienced cold backsides. It's good to know these things.
Very precious days. Memory bank material for sure.
Thank you.
Adorable overload (as if that were possible!)
They are our pride and joy, Jan.
Those leaves provide great fun to kids of all ages, John.
It is indeed, Karen.
Live and learn, Joanne.
Those trips to the park are very special to their grandfather and I, EC.
How true, SW.
It looks like a fine outing to me.
Indeed it was, AC.

I hope they remember long after we are gone, Ginnie!
Precious times indeed!
Enjoy your time with them. It's wonderful to see the world anew through the eyes if a child.
They truly are, FG.
We treasure every minute, Barbara.
How sweet! Love to see your granddaughters enjoy in the beautiful autumn!
They love outdoors, Tomoko. They play outside often.
Lovely to spend some precious time with your grand daughters.I am right in thinking you were all here back in the spring too? How the seasons change and fly by! Sarah x
Time flies, doesn't it, Sarah? The girls always want to visit the park so seasonal visits are a part of life here.
Beautiful leaves - and the kiddos are keepers too.
I think they are keepers, Barbara.
