Bideford at Tyne Valley

The dam on the Bideford River at Tyne Valley was overflowing, a watery veil with a thunderous sound. It invited exploration.

This is one of the many rivers on Prince Edward Island with a fish ladder, allowing various species of fish to move to and from the sea.

Above the dam, the air was still, the water without a ripple, reflecting the trees and the gray sky. The only sound was the waterfall.

Along the shore by the dam, a maple tree with its autumn-yellow leaves, showed every vein.

A nearby tree, naked except for its red fruit, stood nearby, waiting for the birds.

Such a wonderful combination of construction and natural beauty!

Yes the fish ladder is something we don't see here. I love that nature provides food for the birds like this Marie. The autumn colours make this already idyllic spot even more special ✨

I love that golden Maple. I wish our trees in Texas turned colors like that.

Hello Marie,
What a beautiful place! You have already autumn leaves.
I have heard from my English teacher that the dams in Canada are very powerful and produce rich electric.

Some glorious scenes there - even if the names "Bideford" and "Tyne" occurring in the same sentence had me briefly baffled as those places are at opposite ends of England!

Fall, glorious fall! THIS is why it's my favorite season of the year, Marie! I would want to stare at fish going up and down such a ladder, btw.
