“Nanny, if we should be kind to others, why do we have war?”
These are the words of our seven year old granddaughter prior to Remembrance Day last year. Discussion in school sparked her interest in the day and she had questions. Important questions.
So another generation learns about the sacrifices made for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
This two minute video by the British Army is worth a look.
Lest we forget

I too often wonder if we will ever become peacemakers instead of warmakers. I'll watch the video and I will wear my poppy pin today to remind others of the sacrifice of our brave men and women, most of whom never had a choice.
Hello,
I believe most wars are due to greed and the need for power. I wish for peace in the world. Thanks to all the veterans who fought for peace in the world.
Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!
A segment of society is fearful and afraid they will lose their place in line. They start a war.
I share two words with veterans, "Never forget." As an encouragement to and for them and a promise from me.
That is a great little video.
Thank you Marie. I watched it and posted it on my F-book. I agree with eileeninmd, I think it's greed.
A wonderful video, thanks for sharing.
What a very emotional video. And it's filmed in Winchester, Hampshire, England.... a place I know well.
So it would never happen again.....
Saw the video. Well done. It deserves to be watched again.
Thanks, Marie!
That's lovely.
Hey Marie. Good question.
Such a waste to fight and hate.
