The trails this time of year are bordered with wildflowers which always catch my eye. As the weeks go by, the succession of plants makes any trail look new. I always stop and take in the wild beauty along the way which makes any walk slower. However, these moments of beauty give even the most familiar places, an element of surprise and wonder.
Part of the parking lot near the boardwalk has a natural border of Spreading Dogbane now. It is such a welcoming sight.
St. John’s Wort is blooming along the trails now
and Ox-eye Daisies are always appealing.
Queen Ann’s Lace is beginning its tenure
as well as wild roses.
Bindweed always surprises me with its pretty bloom but I wouldn’t want it in my garden. It is an invasive species and is notoriously difficult to eliminate.
The areas with combinations of wild beauty competing for position along a trail are among my favourite places.
Vetch and purple clover join many wild floral scenes.
There are over two months of this wild beauty left along the trails. I look forward to it!

oh how beautiful. isn't it amazing how well these wild flowers do, with no real care!!
I do love to see wildflowers just popping up all over the place!
Have a wonderful day!
Hi Marie. Your blog puts a smile on my face. From the moment the page opens up I'm fascinated with the view in your header. The location looks so peaceful and tranquil. I've been on a bit of a blog break for a while and stopping by today I see you are keeping regular with your posts and each one of them is a pleasure to view. I love the way you focus on your walk and take us along. Thank you for your kind comment on my blog yesterday. I did leave a reply for you on my blog and hope you will click by and take a look. Take good care and stay safe and well! John
Here's to two more months of wild beauty and to enjoying every wonderful minute of it.
I grew up surrounded by wildflowers and I sure miss them now.
How absolutely beautiful.
I would very happily join your slow wander. Very, very happily.
Beautiful, Marie.
How delightful to see so many types of wildflowers around you.
The Bindweed looks like a type of Morning Glory and I do especially like the wild roses. They are so simple and delicate.

The wildflowers are the best.
the beauty of the wild flowers is incomparable . It is so lovely.
Magnificent nature! So different to our wildflowers. We can't even grow their beauty in our garden with any ease.
I love wildflower season - Mother Nature's garden.
Binderweed is so beautiful....
Your trails go through some colorful areas.
Lovely pictures. I'll be glad when it cools down here so I can take some of those lovely nature walks.
There can be so much to see along a walk, and your stunning vibrant photos bring it all to life :)
When I see native wildflowers I wonder at our obsession with planting our gardens with everything but.
Just Lovely - So Peaceful - What A Beautiful World
Cheers
Hello,
These are all beautiful wildflowers, I love the last photo. The flowers are so colorful and pretty! Take care and stay safe! Enjoy your day!
Bindweed is the bane of my life! I love ox-eye daisies, so bright and cheerful. And that's St John's wort! I can never remember which one it is.
Each season is fabulous in it's own way but spring/summer is so 'blooming' gorgeous, lovely shots of your walk, so different from mine today 😊
Your pretty flowers also bring a smile to my face. Every time I go out to a familiar area, I'm surprised at how much it changed from the last time I visited. Your summer shots are marvelous. :-)
What lovely photos. Bindweed, yes it is pretty, but I wish we could get rid of it in the garden, it has taken over and the roots go down to Australia!!!!! Keep well and safe, Diane
I too look forward to every one of them. The daisy's are the only one we have here.
Those combinations make a meadow look beautiful
So many beautiful creations thanks to Mother Nature!
What a glorious place to walk! I just love the daisies...shoot, I love it all.
For awhile there seemed to be a bit of a hiatus between the early wildflowers and the later ones, but they are aplenty now.
Lovely shots!
I would love to have some of those wild flowers in my miniature garden.
