Along the way

Sometimes the path is easy going.

But when an obstacle appears, you may have to go around.

There are times you have to watch your step,

though moments of brilliance happen on occasion.

Little things may give you pause,

or the work of others who have gone before can be helpful.

When everything is gray

those special ones are there to accompany you.

And through it all, the beauty of the next moment keeps you going.

  2. You definitely have to keep your wits about you when walking in the woods, but mostly because you don't want to miss a thing! I hope you took that leaf home with you Marie, wonderful colours, it's like a gorgeous piece of nature's art!

  6. All those different paths to look at and wonder 'which shall I take'. Or 'where shall I go today'. At the moment I take the one of least resistance'. Lol
And the slightly coloured leaf tells me your seasons may be changing -right? ~ Cathy

  13. So poetic, Marie!!!
The magnitude of the challenge those roots represented did not deter you from continuing your stroll in the forest!! And what a beautiful "forest" that one is!

  14. Thank you for your lovely posts, they really brighten my days. I can no longer go for a stroll through the woods, just look through my binoculars from my bedroom window at the woods and fields where I spent many happy hours.
