Sometimes the path is easy going.
But when an obstacle appears, you may have to go around.
There are times you have to watch your step,
though moments of brilliance happen on occasion.
Little things may give you pause,
or the work of others who have gone before can be helpful.
When everything is gray
those special ones are there to accompany you.
And through it all, the beauty of the next moment keeps you going.

A wonderful stroll and a lovely narrative that is so true.
You definitely have to keep your wits about you when walking in the woods, but mostly because you don't want to miss a thing! I hope you took that leaf home with you Marie, wonderful colours, it's like a gorgeous piece of nature's art!
awwww such a wonderful story and beautiful images!!!
I always love a stroll in the woods, even if today it can only be on other people's photographs.
As always, I loved meandering with you. And delight in the 'little things' which beautify our world.
All those different paths to look at and wonder 'which shall I take'. Or 'where shall I go today'. At the moment I take the one of least resistance'. Lol
And the slightly coloured leaf tells me your seasons may be changing -right? ~ Cathy
Beautifully said and photographed.
Thanks, Bill.
I didn't take it, PDP. There will be so many of those leaves soon!
Thank you, Debbie!
I know what you mean, John. Sometimes, that's the only stroll I can take too.
The little things are so special, EC.
I often take that same path, Cathy.
Our seasons are changing too.
Thank you, Barbara. Hope all is still dry in your part of Houston. Thinking of you.
Beautiful post! Those roots are incredible! I wish we had a lovely place like this here for a stroll. Great photography!
Such wonderful pictures. Especially the walkway and the stairs. And I love that path in the picture with the dog.
The photos take you on a journey surrounding by nature and beauty.
It is a great place for a walk, Angela.
The stairs fit in to the esthetic of the area for sure, Ratty.
I am glad they worked as intended, B.
I'd love to come on that walk with you. I bet Georgie loves it when you take her for walkies. Lucky doggie.
Absolutely beautiful post, Marie. Thank you for the sweet comments you leave on my blogs, and I must say that you have become one of my favorite people to follow and read. Talented with your pictures and text, you are. :-)
So poetic, Marie!!!
The magnitude of the challenge those roots represented did not deter you from continuing your stroll in the forest!! And what a beautiful "forest" that one is!
Thank you for your lovely posts, they really brighten my days. I can no longer go for a stroll through the woods, just look through my binoculars from my bedroom window at the woods and fields where I spent many happy hours.
Wish we could walk together, Shammi.
Georgie loves these excursions, it's true.
Thank you, Jan. I always look forward to your posts!
This is an incredible trail system, Catarina.
I am glad you come along with me on these walks, Keith, even if from afar.

Thank you, FG.
